Is a restored 1990's Classic Mini Cooper reliable as an everday car?

I'm contemplating on whether or not to buy myself a really good restored 1990's Classic Mini Cooper with a 1275cc engine, automatic transmission and air-conditioning. The shop owner/restorer says he fixed it for everyday use. However, is this car reliable
if i was you i would ask for a test drive he can ride in the car with you..test drive it..
there like a small chance it wont work..

I have been looking around for a classic mini for a while as my first car now ive turned 17, i hav the money ready and i also have a part time job to help me with the finances invilved :) however... i was never able to find one local for the money i have
Actually they are very roomy even if you are over six foot.
The problem with the Cooper is that they are not a car that will last long. The parts and quality of the car deteriorate quickly with use.

DONT DO IT!! The max power phase will only be temporary there really isnt a need to fit a bodykit and go wild. A classic mini is not really a car to have aftermarket bodykits on and one is likely to devalue the car as there are not enough minis left.

How easy is this to do. Theres a car on ebay that i love the look of, but would want to convert it back to a 1000cc engine, as opposed to the 1.3 cooper engine that the seller has had put in. My dad is good at mechanics, but how long would it take? Does
It's fairly trivial, but you might want to consult a specialist about what is the correct engine for that particular model. The value is less if they are not original.

im stuck between buying and restoring either a series 3 land rover defender or a classic mini,obviously the mini is cheaper to repair,but i would love to go off road,
which would be easiest to restore and find parts for,and has best resell value
mini. way cooler.
